- role and responsibilities of trustees and superintendent

10:30 am Becoming an Effective Policy Governing Board
- monitoring of the division’s performance measures and performance
- building & sustaining two-way external relationships
- focusing on the board’s fiduciary responsibilities
- facilitating the development of the ends and policy-making (i.e. values, vision, mission, & outcomes)

- discipline & rigor, focus, and values
- processes and structure - i.e. standing committee structure & development
